The Most Fun Kids Winter Activities in Whistler

February 6, 2020

If you’re like most families spending time in Whistler this winter, you came to ski. Whether your kids are going out with you or joining a lesson packed day of ski school, they are bound to want a break. It’s winter and there is so much to do! With these three winter activities for kids, you won’t have to question if they are having fun this winter vacation.

Ice Skating

Skating around on some ice is a great way for your kids to stay active on a day off from skiing and maybe even try something new! There is an indoor ice rink at the Meadow Park Sports Center  (also offering a swimming pool, fitness center and more!). Or, for a more magical experience, explore the outdoor rink located at the Olympic Plaza  from 11am to 8:30pm. This Plaza also offers Family Apres Mondays and Wednesdays which may include a variety of kid friendly activities such as snow dogs, crafts, and games.

Zip Lining

Fly high in the sky right here in Whistler. Zip Lines are always a hit with kiddos and we have some of the best in North America. At Ziptrek you can choose between one of their six tours; each including a variety of zip lines and treetop bridges. The Sasquatch tour includes one long zip on the longest zip line in North America! It is a family fun forest playground sure to get your heart racing too! Take advantage of deals by pairing one of these tours with another such as the Peak to Peak Gondola Combo or Sasquatch Combo.

Tube Park

Take a slippery ride down this hard packed snow hill. The Coca-Cola Tube Park  is endless fun for the whole family and a must do if bringing kids to Whistler this winter. Book through the Whistler Blackcomb site today! Open 11am to 6pm weekdays and 10am to 6pm weekends.
