Temperatures are dropping, the days are getting shorter, and snow has started to fall. Do you know what that means? Ski season is almost here! Here's what you can expect from opening day at Whistler Blackcomb.
On average, Whistler Blackcomb gets 1.9 metres (6.4 feet) of snow each November. We're only a few days into the month, but the snow is already starting to pile up. In the next week, the mountain is expected to get 20 centimetres of fresh snow. Much more will fall in the days to come. This is wonderful news ahead of opening day! Conditions will be supreme.

Opening day for the 2022-2023 ski season will be Thursday, November 24, 2022. The resort expects to stay open until May 22, 2023, giving skiers ample time to hit the powder! With restrictions easing and more people traveling, visitors can expect to enjoy lots of fun activities on top of incredible skiing.
This ski season, more on-mountain dining options will reopen, including the full-serve restaurant Steeps. Along with Christine's, Steeps will open in early December. Both will serve contemporary Canadian cuisine (inspired by Vancouver celebrity chef David Hawksworth!) that you're sure to love. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will no longer be required, so dining will operate as normal.
Additionally, the Whistler Blackcomb Ski & Ride school will expand group programs and offer an enhanced five-day kids' adventure camp. Get ready to improve your ski skills this season!
Whistler Blackcomb encourages guests to purchase lift tickets or an Epic Pass in advance, as the number of lift tickets will be limited each day. Currently, tickets are discounted, but prices will go up on November 20th!
